by Saeward Schillaci, The Resource Group
Looking for a great Intacct partner to provide expertise for your business as you seek to select and optimize your enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems? We hope you’ll consider The Resource Group, but we also think it’s important to be honest and open about our competition. Here’s a list of seven other Intacct partners and value added resellers (VARs) who come to mind when someone asks us about our competitors. First, we’d like to highlight our organization, but want to be transparent that there are other Intacct Partners out there (and they are pretty good too!). The partners are listed in reverse alphabetical order, to mix things up a little.
1. The Resource Group
Headquartered in Renton, Washington, right outside of Seattle and with a satellite office in Portland, Oregon, The Resource Group has been working with businesses and organizations since 1988. The first ERP or accounting software solution represented by The Resource Group was Microsoft Dynamics® GP. After many years of being loyal to Microsoft, it was decided that a true cloud ERP solution was the next logical step for the clients we served. Intacct was that obvious choice. We have a strong background in development, engineering and business software consulting. The Resource Group focuses on many industries, but truly excels with clients who are Nonprofits, SaaS-modeled, Healthcare, Project-based and Consulting Services, Digital Marketers, High Technology, Medical Laboratories and Distribution. Some of the clients we serve include ARUP Laboratories, Seattle Goodwill, PRO Sports, MJ Murdock Charitable Trust, and Seattle Proton Therapy. Intacct recognized The Resource Group as the Q3 Partner for excellence in promoting their solution. Another differentiator for us is our deep knowledge with Business Intelligence (BI) and Corporate Performance Management (CPM). The Resource Group was named BI360 Gold Partner of the Year for their work in delivering business intelligence solutions to clients.
2. Leap the Pond
Located in Milford, Connecticut, Leap the Pond specializes exclusively in providing Intacct-related partner services as well as outsourced accounting and bookkeeping services utilizing and complementing Intacct. Many Intacct partners on this list offer a variety of services and multiple ERP software solutions, but Leap the Pond’s singular focus on Intacct has paid off in success. In 2016, Leap the Pond was named Intacct’s VAR Partner of the Year for “sales success, outstanding implementations, and great customer service.” Another service that Leap the Pond advertises is “complementary services for VARs and IAPs,” with the explanation that “Leap the Pond is committed to serving the needs of Intacct and its VAR and IAP partners.” Overall, Leap the Pond demonstrates a confident, teamwork-oriented approach to Intacct-related services. As a relatively small company, Leap the Pond may offer the personal touch you are looking for.
In contrast to Leap the Pond, CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) lies on the opposite end of the size spectrum. With more than 100 locations across the United States, CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) incorporates “three integrated business lines in one professional services firm.” CLA provides an impressive array of services within three realms: 1) wealth advising, 2) finance and accounting outsourcing, and 3) consulting services for audits, taxes, and accounting. As a piece of their myriad consulting services, CLA is an Intacct Premier Partner, and the company also offers an Allocation Management application for Intacct. For customers trying to find a partner that can offer a wide range of knowledge and services, CLA uses its size as an advantage – the company claims over 5,000 professionals, including over 1,800 CPAs. That’s a lot of expertise!
4. Clark Nuber
Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, Clark Nuber is an award winning CPA and consulting firm that has been in business for over 60 years. Similarly to CliftonLarsonAllen, Clark Nuber capitalizes on the convenience of offering a wide array of services – software implementation and training is just a small subset of their range of accounting-based support. When it comes to the software-related aspect of their business, Clark Nuber offers Abila and Sage software in addition to Intacct. Clark Nuber also helps with audits, reviews, business value enhancement, federal grant and contract consulting, international compliance and consulting, IT services, personal financial planning, tax compliance and planning, and many other things. With over 200 employees, Clark Nuber has a lot to offer.
With offices in Pittsburgh and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Cargas specializes in business software and consulting. In addition to offering Intacct software, Cargas does implementation and training for Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and Vertex SMB. The company also designs and sells innovative software called Cargas Energy, which streamlines and automates fuel delivery and HVAC functions for various businesses. Cargas has landed a number of big-name clients; they count Hershey’s, Auntie Ann’s, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Rhoads Energy among their customers. One unique thing about Cargas is that it has been an employee-owned company since 1998, with more than 73% of employees also being shareholders. Cargas also has an excellent blog that offers plenty of helpful information to the general public.
6. BT Partners

This list is a quick overview to demonstrate the diversity of other Intacct partners in the United States, and it is by no means exhaustive. We hope you will take a look at The Resource Group for your Intacct accounting software evaluation and needs.
