Dashboard reporting within Microsoft Dynamics GP comes up on a regular basis. While the Homepage within newer versions of the software can be set-up for this using the included charts and key point indicators (KPIs), there may be other requirements for this that go beyond what is available with the standard options.
In screen shot 1 (below), Report Builder v3 has been leveraged as a template on which several custom metrics have been placed. This is different from the standard metrics as each standard metric is a self-contained report in the system. This dashboard report combines multiple metrics into a single report file.

To further exploit the feature of Microsoft Dynamics GP, the ability to assign reports to master level records has been used; in this case, assigning the report to the Customer Maintenance Window. This allows the passing of the Customer ID value to the report to run for a selected customer on the window. In screen shot 2 (below), you can see the final report, which can be launched directly from the Customer Maintenance Window for any selected customer record.
